Next, Emperor Vespasian ordered Nero's house to be demolished, and part of The Colosseum was built on that area. He was the person who ordered The Colosseum to be built. The reason he ordered it to be built is because the old arena got destroyed in the fire. He died of natural causes before the building was finished, so his son, Titus, took over and became Emperor after Vespasian died.
