The Process of Obtaining a License

To Start:

You must schedule a date to take the test and when you go to take the test you must bring your permit with you.

- If you are 16 or 17 and you wish to obtain a license you must hold a permit for 120 days if you have completed commercial driving school or high school driver education or 180 days if you plan to do home training

- If you plan to do driving school

- 30 Hours of classroom training and 40 hours of practice driving

- If you plan to do home training

- When you wish to take the test you must have 40 hours of practice driving, 22 hour classroom type training, and an eight hour Safe Driving Practices course at commercial or secondary school which includes two hour parent/legal guardian training

*Practice Driving means behind the wheel training given by an commercial/secondary/parent instructor*
