Once holding the status of the smallest and ninth planet, icy Pluto is the largest KBO and dwarf planet in our system.

Being extremely small—smaller than the Moon even— Pluto and Charon take up 3/4 of the U.S. Charon is also half as large as Pluto.

Within the "Heart" of Pluto, are two mountain ranges; one as tall as the Appalachians, and the other as tall as the Rockies.

Pluto has close the surface area to Russia, the largest nation in the world, smaller by 467,260 km.
