Mercury and the Moon

___________________

Mercury is a tiny planet. It is a little larger than the Moon, and is even similar in appearance. However, it is the most dense planet、and extreme.

There is a 40% difference in volume between the bodies; roughly, the Moon is almost half of Mercury's size.

The Moon is, as it is named, the moon of Earth. It is around a quarter of the Earth's size, but is 80 times less massive.

Since both Mercury and the Moon lack atmosphere, the temperatures change drastically within moments. On Mercury, temps. can range from 430 Degrees Celsius to -183 degrees C. The Moon is less extreme, from temperatures high enough to boil water, to dipping 250 degrees Celcius as soon as the sunlight goes. (Down to -153 degrees). However, since the Moon rotates as fast as its revolution, it experiences 13 days of sunlight, and 13 days of darkness on any point, much like Antarctica's 6-months periods of light and dark.
