The Ordeal:

The ordeal occurs when Peter fights the Green Goblin in the rundown building. The Green Goblin has become stronger since the last time they fought and is more prepared for the fight than Peter. Peter is almost killed until at the last second he quickly responds, stabbing the Goblin's glider into the Green Goblin, killing him. By responding courageously Peter showed how much progress he has made and how much he has grown since the beginning of the movie when he was weak and not very threatening.
