Exaggeration was shown in Monty Python because they exaggerated a lot of the customs of the time period. Monty Python is a satire of the Crusades. An example is in the beginning of the movie when the king is seen "riding a horse" through the thick fog. In actuality he is galloping with a hunchback character hitting coconuts together. This is an exaggeration of the way knights and people of noble standing were seen, on a "high horse." He perfects exaggeration because he makes the situation so ridiculous and outrageous that it adds a humorous touch to the movie.
