Obstacles

Booker T. Washington

W.E.B. Du Bois

Mr. Du Bois was born in poverty, his father left him at a young age. He overcame his challenges and in thirty-two years he became internationally know.

Mr. Washington was born into slavery, and at age 9 when he was freed, he worked by packing salt. Then after work he would attend school in the afternoon.

He had to travel long distances to arrive at his schools. Could've given up but he didn't.
