Booker T. Washington
W.E.B. Du Bois
Mr. Du Bois's philosophy of agitation and protest for civil rights carried into the Civil Rights movement which began to develop in the 1950's and reached its peak in the 1960's.
This was important because during the civil rights movement African Americans received more rights.
Mr. Washington had more civilized way of dealing with the segregation issue, he believed that African Americans should focus on building up the economic and social structures inside the segregated communities.
In conclusion, he believed they should be separated and live on their lives.
