Marguerite: A little girl who receives an egg who can't grant one wish for her. At first she wants multiple wishes, but ends up becoming friends with the egg and doesn't even ask for one wish until the egg is gone.

Arnold: Arnold is the magic egg who can grant wishes. He just wants to be free and live a normal life. He grows close to Marquerite, but has to leave since she won't make a wish. He eventually comes back to hear her wish when she frees him.
