Childhood

I was faced with several different conflicts as a child, and I chose to behave a certain way for each one. I chose autonomy over shame and doubt, initiative over guilt, and industry over inferiority.

Between age 2-7, I was egocentric (as shown here, where I am not sharing the yellow paint with my peers).

At this stage, I also showed animistic thinking. I loved stuffed animals and treated them as if they were human friends.

Because of my sense of irreversibility, I lost several of my fluffy friends (as well as lots of other possessions, much to the dismay of my parents).

This image shows my centration ; I could only focus on one task at a time. (Here, either reading or posing for a picture).
