Bob Dylan's original name was Robert Allan Zimmerman. He changed his name in August of 1962, he arrived in a Greenwich Village & called himself 'Bob Dylan'. He was the most gifted & innovative composer to emerge from the folk music revival that swept across the United States and England in the early 1960's.
