no one knows what or who caused the crash, only Bob and his wife knew exactly what happened. He told Robert Shelton that an Oil slick caused him to lose control, but according to Sam Sheppard Dylan told him that the sun blinded him. The crash happened in 1966. After the crash in 1967, Dylan took a couple weeks to recover. He never slowed down with writing music & he recorded more than 100 songs. He took the Motorcycle accident to relax and he didn't tour for eight years. Some people don't believe that the crash actually happened.
