In Morocco they have many debates on GMO. Morocco does tolerate biotechnology, but needs more experiments done to get everyone on board. They use biotechnology products for animals, animal feed in particular. GMO use for humans is currently banned in Morocco.

Genetically engineered foods and crops are a key tool in helping to feed a growing population. GMO, have genes that contain certain traits and when inserted into crops, it helps improve production. We are wanting to create a fertilizer to help the crops.

Animals can be modified by crossbreeding to produce stronger and healthier ones, to create animals with the genes wanted.

Genetically modified crops and animals are more environmentally friendly, because they conserve water, soil, and energy, and would help Moroccos agriculture production grow.
