Officials: the pope is the head of the church, cardinals are right underneath him in length, bishops are beneath them, priests and deacons are below them

-Early Christians continued to worship in synagogues, but over time they began to worship in their own chapels, churches, and cathedrals

-cross is the main symbol, cross with Jesus pictured on it are called crucifixes

-beliefs- Jesus is the son of God, the 2nd person in the trinity, that Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead after three days

-sacred places- Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus, Jordan river place where John the Baptist was baptized, Jerusalem
