Narragansett tribe

From Rhode Island. Established their existence over 30,000 years ago. They are descendants of the aboriginal people. Their population: 15,868 still in Rhode Island.

The first documented contact was in 1524 when Giovanni de Verranzano visited Narragansett Bay and described a large Indian people.
