1) Janissary Corps

Young boys were specially trained by the ottoman empire. Within this special training that was received by the boys they would be evaluated. The ones who became soldiers would be know as Janissaries. (from the Turkish yeri cheri “new troops) They quickly gained the reputation of the espirt de Corps.
