Influence of Social Class

on me as and individual

Being ascribed as part of the working class but being seen as apart of the middle class influenced....

Behaviors: More conservative with the amount of money I spend. I have to get creative when I want to have fun because i couldn't just go out and spend a whole bunch.

Attitudes- Aspired to be more like my peers around me because my relatives was of a higher class than me.

Disadvantages: Harder to pay for college

Advantages: Made me work for a better education with academics and athletics.

Beliefs: I grew up Catholic like the rest of my family and relatives. My social class impacted this because my family believed that if we wen to church and were good people that God would be their for us always.

Physical Activity: My parents made sure that my brothers and were still able to participate in sports growing up so I join soccer and got lots of physical activity.

Vacation: We did not go on vacation vary often. If we did it was every other year so that we could afford it and do more things

Food: I am not a huge critic of food, my social class affected this because my mom and dad usually used the cheaper brands of the ingredients used in homemade food. And I learned to appreciate what I had more.

-Growing up with income issues has made me tighter with money

-I was not able to continue going to a catholic grade school because of income .

-What I perceive as expensive is different what others believe
