Stratford-Binet
* In 1900, public schools were interested in finding a test that would help point out the children that needed special attention.
* Alfred Binet was the first to make this test, that was first used in 1905. Binet assumed that intelligence increased with age so he made a test for each age group.
* Binet's test came up with a personal "mental age". This was not the same thing as someone's age from birth. Mental age shows the persons level at which their intelligence is functioning.
