Control and power

Truman has been controlled and exploited his whole life, with the whole world watching his every move.

They manipulate him by choosing the people that he holds dearest and taking them away (father) at will.

Characters like Christof determine Truman's 'fate'. Christof can control physical, mental and social aspects of Truman life. Everything truman does, see or people he interacts is controlled by Christof.

Christof's manipulation has damaged Truman's mental wellbeing which could result in him having trust issues. The influence of control and power may have forever scarred Truman.
