Texturizer

1. Check for damage to scalp. Drape guests.

2. Section hair into 4 basic sections with headband parting and middle part.

3. Base scalp with mizani butter blend scalp protector. Apply to hairline scalp and ears.

4. Apply Dry Remedy mask to any hair that has already been relaxed if doing a retouch. this is replacing the mizani butter blend honey shield in their directions.

5. Taking 1/8th to 1/4th inch sections, apply relaxer in the aveda A, applying to he hairline last.

6. Processing time starts the second relaxer is applied. Refer to charts for the level of natural curl to determine processing time.

Levels 3-5 process 3-5 minutes

Levels 6-9 process 5-8 minutes

7. Test for desired straightness during processing, wiping off relaxer and looking for hair to bounce back to a curl.

8. After processing RINSE RINSE RINSE.

9. Apply perfecting cream which processes 10 minutes at the bowl.

10. Rinse and apply balancing hair bath (shampoo). Any relaxer left will turn pink.

11. Apply dry remedy mask and let sit 5 minutes.

12. Rinse and style straight.
