The southern colonies were founded for an ideal of agriculture. They were larger than any other colony.They made money off cash crops(tobacco,rice)

which they will sell for profit.They had no set religion because they had freedom of religion and their culture was primarily agriculture with wealthy plantations and fertile plains.
