DESCRIPTION

The Samurai or also known as the bushi were the warriors of Japan. The samurai was known for the use of a variety of weapons such as the bow and arrow, spears, guns and the weapon that symbolised the samurai, the sword.

The Samurai

The bushi were supposed to follow the ethics code of bushi do or well known as the "the way of the warrior". This code focuses on the concept of loyalty to their master, self discipline, respectful and ethical behaviour. Numerous other samurai observed the teachings and practices of Zen Buddhism.
