Common Name: American Bumble Bee
Scientific Name: Bombus pennsylvanicus

Bumble Bees are industrious pollinators, pollinating meadows, parks, open fields, etc. They use the pollen to make honey. They are beneficial insects, helping to pollinate crops, orchards, and garden plants. Sadly, however, the number of bumble bees is decreasing due to habitat loss, pesticides, pollution, and mites.
