Atlantic Coast Pipeline
The proposed Atlantic Coast Pipeline would cross a 17.7 mile part of Monongahela National Forest. It's purpose would be to deliver natural gas from supply areas in West Virginia to Virginia and North Carolina.
Potential Effects:
•it will divide the forest and wild life habitats for many threatened and endangered species such as the northern flying squirrel
•construction activities might affect the water quality and will cause pollution
•it would affect natural animal pathways
