Student Recognition Program effectiveness is declining. Teachers are losing enthusiasm and students are losing excitement for the program.

Reward students and 5 teachers who are still encouraging the program during the next assembly. Announce that these students and teachers will be attending a special luncheon after the assembly while others go back to class.

Force teachers to submit weekly reports of students who have unfinished work or discipline problems in the classroom. These students will have detention the following week (1 grade level each day). 10 teachers who were not encouraging program will be given a schedule and required to supervise detention on specified days.

Send a student who is misbehaving during the next assembly to the office for ISS. Inform staff and students that bad behavior during assemblies will result in 1 day of ISS.

Implement Teacher Recognition Program in which the teacher with the fewest students on weekly reports gets special Parking Space and 5 “Jean Day” passes for the following month.

Edit Student Recognition Program rewards (without consulting anyone) to include field trips, tickets for special events, dances, and food.

Increase and set clear expectations for program. (ie. Zero absences or discipline referrals during the month to receive reward.)
