Born on September 19 in Moglino, Germany (now Poland).

Founded and became director of the Research Center for Group Dynamics at MIT, where he researched the effects of democratic, autocratic, and laissez-faire leadership on children.
Passed away on February 12th in Newtonville, Massachusetts.
