We need to transform our (black) communities from the inside out, because we are the only ones that will help us achieve and help us stay alive, in a world that wants to treat us unjust. This is the importance of community programs, and if we cannot change the fact that neighborhoods are segregated, we can work to improve the lives in those neighborhoods.
