Why is Richard the Lionheart important in history?
Richard the Lionheart is important because of the Crusade. Richard as I told you before sold many treasury to fund his Crusade army. Richard successfully took back the holy land away from Saladin through the Crusade but the French King wanted some of this land. Richard refused and started to prepare for the conflict, neither the kings wanted war, so Richard kept hold of it.
