Emily Hanna had grew up on a cow ranch about 20 minutes south of Colorado Springs. Emily's dad would like to take Emily to the ranch as he did some work on the ranch while she was a little baby. Her dad carried her in a little pouch and then tied it to a nearby fence. Emily also had a sister, Maggie she was just 2 years older then Emily. They had learned how to work on the ranch at a very young age. In 1998 Emily's and Maggie's dad had died so there mom had to decide if she wanted to keep the ranch or not, there mom only knew how to train and ride horses not a cow farm but there mom did decide to keep the ranch. Emily and Maggie had to learn how to ride the four-wheeler and how to move the cows.
