Achievements

On July 4, 1187 the Saracens, under Saladin defeated the crusader army in Palestine, and captured Jerusalem's King, Guy.

After capturing Jerusalem, they created it into a heavily Muslim influenced area, though still keeping up an idea of religious tolerance.

Today, the term Saracens is generally tied to Saladin. He is regarded as a great leader during of the crusades, and against his greatest enemy, Richard the Lionheart.
