Connections
• Threads of Feeling is very different from either of the set texts as it represents the experiences of many people, instead of the intimate viewpoint of a singular
• There is however, very personal relationships formed between audience and text without the need for the words of the person- a mere symbol is all we are left, and yet the audience is able to develop a connection with those long gone
• Very similar in the way that Campion uses symbols to create a visual metaphor for the paradigms of the romantic era.
• Threads and Frost are also concerned with the development of the child, and the choice of an individual to decide their upbringing. This leads to a unique discussion of freedom and individuality in this time period.
