What are the methods of researching in antartica?
Scientists and explorers do researches in Antartica in many ways and for different purposes such as the environment or the air. I am going to focus on ice core drilling:
Ice core drilling is a method which involves in removing long tubes of ice from the antartic sheet. Once scientist have the ice cores they can trace the past. This works since the deeper they drill the older the ice, so scientist can remove after the gases that were trapped in the ice and then know the gaseous composition of the air in the past.
