Telegraph

R

The telegraph was created by Samuel morse. Samuel more was born on April 27,1791 and was a painter/inventor he later went to Yale. He was painting a portrait in Washington one day when he received a letter saying his wife had suddenly died and he hadn't known for days. He then decided he wanted to find out how to communicate long distance. And that is when he created the telegraph.

In 1832 the first single wore telegraph was created to communicate long distance quickly. This impacted the north more than the south because they where the ones who knew about it first so they used it more.
