What happened to Hans Fritzsche

-After Hitlers death he went over to the Soviet lines in Berlin to offer the surrender of the city to the Red Army on May 1, 1945

-He was taken prisoner and put in a standing coffin until confession

-He was later tried by a West German denazification court and was sentenced to nine years

-He was released in September 1950

-Died in 1953 from cancer

-Remembered as a propagandist for the Nazi Party
