Migrations Impact on American Society
During WWII Mexicans were hired as braceros which allowed them to come to the United States and harvest crops for a certain amount of time and after that time they were supposed to return to Mexico but many stayed illegally in the U.S.
During WWII over 65,000 Native Americans left their reservations for military service and war work, and as a result the natives became very aware of the discrimination against them. After the war they stopped receiveing family allotments and wages and some tribal lands were taken by outsiders.
