Vacuole is the organelle being targeted by the virus. Because the Mary a high concentration of oxidative enzymes in the blood which means that the vacuoles weren't taking and storing those enzymes for energy that why she also had the joints and back problems because the vacuoles weren't taking in the enzymes. Also the reason why she had fatty acids in the blood because the vacuoles wasn't metabolized the waste which were the fatty acids. The other organelles were ruled out because no other organelle stores waste or enzymes. The methods I used to find the organelle is common sense and process of elimination.
