The Pivot Joint

A freely moving joint that movement is limited to the rotation.

The clock is like a pivot joint because of the free rotation the clock has. Compared to the human elbow, a clock rotates in basically every direction. And much like a pivot joint the clock cannot point directly outward or inward.
