The hitler salute

What's the hitler salute? Why are we praising this guy? Didn't he kill like..idk a billion innocent people? Well those are all good questions, first off , WE aren't praising evil dictators but during the holocaust everyone had to.

The hitler salute was a way people greeted each other in Germany. It showed respect to their leader who was kind of forcing it on people... But anyways, It was adopted in the 1930s by the Nazi Party to signal obedience to the party's leader – Adolf Hitler – and to glorify the German nation. It was mandatory that every citizen use it whether you liked hitler or not. For military personal however, the salute was optional, doesn't make sense but I'll go with it.
