Knievel had gained fame, since he had improved on his stunts, but still crashed quite often. He had about 412 bones broken in his career, and gained fame from that as well, being one of very few people to have a bulbous amount of bones broken during his career. He even made a stunt jump on a motorcycle that was attached to an anti-guided rocket across a lake... But had sadly failed and Evel was thrown off. But it has been stated numerous times that if he wasn't thrown off, there would've been a malfunction with his suit, being stuck in the belt, and regardless, the bike would've fell into the water, so he would drowned if he didn't get off the bike.
