Evel had suffered a great deal of bones breaking and fractures in the path to fame, 433 broken bones and fractures in total. He crashed when attempting to ramp over a large body of sod (fake grass), and had flown off the back of his bike and the bike had ran into the cameraman, hitting him in the face and giving him temporary blindness.
