Molybdenum Deficiency

Molybdenum Toxicity

Effects of Dangerous Molybdenum Levels

It is very uncommon, but you may have an improper metabolism of carbohydrates. Your copper levels and molybdenum levels are dependent on eachother, so if you have a very low molybdenum level, your body will have trouble absorbing copper. Also you may develop a disease called molybdenum cofactor deficiency, which causes mental retardation and severe neurological abnormalities.

Studies have shown high levels of molybdenum may also effect the copper levels in your body. There isn't a known toxicity level. Extremely rare in humans.
