In high school and optometry school, they require you to take English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. SOME schools require courses in physiology, history, sociology, speech, business economists, and with laboratory experience.

Other classes required are General biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, physics, calculus, English, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Human Anatomy and Physiology.
