Rebellion is an action that has lasted centuries. People use rebellion to indicate their feelings and pursue change. There are different types of way to protest. In the following picture they are throwing off barrels of tea to protest against taxes. This and many other protests caused, in the long run, the 13 colonies to become independent. In the following photo one can see that there are people throwing tea off of a ship. The the sons of liberty decided to dump tea into the Boston harbor and protest agents taxes. This happened in 1773. 340 chests of British East India Company tea, weighing roughly 46 tons, onboard the Beaver, Dartmouth, and Eleanor were broken open with axes and dumped into Boston Harbor the night of December 16, 1773. In an effort to hide their identities. As what can be seen in the top picture, the Sons of Liberty attempted to pass themselves off as Mohawk Indians because if caught for their actions they would have faced severe punishment. Hundreds took part in the Boston Tea Party. For fear of punishment, many participants of the Boston Tea Party remained anonymous for many years after the event. This act insured other people to revolt. This and many other protests caused, in the long run, the 13 colonies to become independent.
