On the 7th day, I was very surprised. The salt became stiff and the potato got all brown. It didn't mold, but it looked really disgusting. But surprisingly, it was smooth and soft and dry, and the potato became lighter. My potato also shrunk and wrinkled, as if all the liquid that was inside was gone. The salt on the other hand was very chunky, but felt normal besides that.

On the 14th day, the carton was heavy, which was my first observation. The next thing I noticed was my salt was ROCK SOLID. My potato became embedded inside the salt and it took a while taking it out. My potato was lighter, but the texture was very different. On the front, my potato is HARD. But on the back, it's wet and slimy, almost like the first day, but the color stayed the same as last week.

On the first day when I was cutting and placing the potato down in the salt, my hands were completely sticky, slimy, and wet. I had to wash my table because the liquid was seeping through the towels and a thin layer of the liquid was on my desk. It smelled like any ordinary raw potato and looked bright yellow
