Reforms

-1832 First Reform Act: it gave the vote to the middle class.

-1833 Factory act: it regulated working hours for women and children.

-1834 Poor Law Amendment: established workhouses.

-1846 revocation of the Corn Laws, because of the Irish potato famine, and the adaptation of a free trade policy.

-1866 Sanitary Act: providing for sewers, water, street cleaning and other health risks.

-1867 Second Reform Act: it gave town workers the right to vote (miners and agricultural workers were still excludes).

-1870 Elementary Education Act: it stated the education system.

-1884 Third Reform Act: it extended suffrage to all male workers.
