Battle Strategies
The Battle of Yorktown was a stunning battle, and the strategies were impeccable. America had learned from Fredrich Von Schtuben, the German army general. He taught them not to fight like the British, but in a less honorable way. This way was hiding in the woods and using snipers to pick off the British one by one. This frustrated the British. The British fought in one line and fired all at once, but were fast to reload. They believed this way was honorable. When the Americans fought like this, the British believed it was cheating, but it helped them in the end. In addition, George Washington tricked the British into thinking he was going to attack New York. Instead George Washington and his army were going to Virginia.
