Marcelline's journey

Marcellin began raising sheep to earn money. He took that money and used it to join a seminary. His first attempt he failed, but them was readmitted and from that point he knew he needed to buckle down. Two things then happened that helped him become who he is today. His closest friend died which humbled him quite a bit, and also he talked to his priest who said he needed to change his ways. So he sobered up his life and then was finally ordained a priest on July 2nd, 1816. Marcellin also started the Society of Marist which was teaching kids that were deprived of Christian education.
