Japan's education system works like elementary school (lasting six years), middle school (three years), high school (three years), and university (four years). From you start your education in Japan to when you graduate is 16 years kids have to be at school by 8:45 am. School finishes around 3:15 pm so they have about 6 and a half hours of school and out start school when you are about 6 or 7 years old
