Leonardo
Leonardo was an Italian number theorist that was born in 1170 and died in 1250.
Leonardo published "Liber abaci" in 1202 that was based on arithmetic and algebra
In his book, Liber abaci he introduced the Hindu-Arabic place-valued decimal system and the use of Arabic numerals into Europe.
He introduced us to the bar we use in fractions and the square root notation.
His study of the Fibonacci sequence began with the breeding pattern of rabbits. There he found rabbit generations duplicated within the the Fibonacci sequence
