BLOOD TRANSFUSIONS

When one person lost too much blood from a severe injury they had a slim chance to survive. The British army began to use a new technique to transfer blood from one person to another. Although it was a U.S. army doctor that realized they needed to stockpile blood. So they created a blood bank where people could donate blood to help others in need. To keep the blood they would store it in ice for a maximum of 28 days.
